Well, what a week it has been! I'm pleased that USA won, for a number of reasons. Number 1 - In the memory of Arnold Palmer, who sadly passed away in late September. Number 2 - if they lost four times in a row the yanks would take their bat home and not come out to play next time. Number 3 - they were simply better than us.
A couple of matches stick out for me. Rory McIlroy, in nearly top gear, playing against Patrick Reed, who was fearless all week!
Fancy having 19 birdies between them and only walking off with a half! Phil Mickelson and Sergio Garcia would have shot 18 under par with a gross total of 58, in a betterball format. Surely, the best singles match in Ryder Cup history?
So, we now look onwards and upwards towards France and Le Golf National in Paris for the 2018 Ryder Cup.
