Christmas is well and truly in full swing! The Christmas trees are up; mince pies are cooking; mulled wine is flowing; the turkey recipes are being looked out and of course, the office parties are under way. The ladies will no doubt have it all well under control - leave it to them and the presents will be wrapped up before the 1st December. Then on the 25thof December, a Christmas dinner cooked with military precision. Leave it to the men however and absolutely nothing will have been done, most are probably just waking up to the fact it’s December (speaking from experience!). Whether you have done all your Christmas shopping or not, allow us to provide some inspiration. Every golfer would like to play better golf. That might involve buying a new piece of equipment or perhaps a new pair of golf shoes - you’d be amazed at how much power can be lost in a pair of saggy old golf shoes (up to 30 yards!). If you’re stuck for that last minute stocking filler for your loved one or you just want to treat yourself, why not buy some lessons ready for 2019?

Winter Golf Offers Whilst many of us have retreated to the warmth, winter golf offers so much more that you might think! The course plays wide and relatively soft. The greens are not as scary as they were in the middle of the summer - this gives you the opportunity to work on your driving and ball striking. The possibility as well, to fire at the pins with the knowing that the ball will no longer bound through the back of the green, is exciting! Remember practice doesn’t always make perfect! Practice makes permanent – if you are practicing wrong – sadly all you are doing is getting better at getting it wrong. You have at your disposal 2 dedicated PGA Professionals, keen to work on all aspects of your game. Go on treat yourself. If we don’t see you before Christmas, Nick, Cameron & I wish you all a very Merry Christmas. |
