2019 Titleist ProV1 & ProV1x

We have now come to the beginning of Titleist’s 2 year product cycle, and that means the launch of the 2019 ProV1 and ProV1x.

Titleist has made its name on supplying the top players in the world with their Premium range of golf balls, earning the title of ‘The No.1 Ball in golf’ – this places a pressure on them to not stray too far from their winning formula when it comes to launching their new product. But what is actually different in the New ProV1 & ProV1x?

Well, Titleist have gone back to the almost transparent that we saw in the 2015 model (how exciting?!). The ProV1 provides total performance with a lower, penetrating ball flight companied with soft feel whilst the ProV1x provides total performance but with a higher ball and a slightly firmer feel for those short shots. It feels like a lifetime since the Pro V1 392 was released in 1999.

The truth is that the new ProV1 and ProV1x is still a fantastic, market leading product. To find out which ball you prefer there’s only one way to find out…

Masters Sweepstake

It’s that time again! The 2019 Masters Tournament is right around the corner and we will be running our annual sweepstake. Tickets are £3.00 each, with each ticket receiving a free Bridgestone Tour B XS golf ball (spoiler alert! we have a new supplier of golf ball coming into the shop in less than 2 weeks!)

Sweepstake entries open on 1st March. Tickets strictly limited to 90 tickets until the final field size has been announced. Blind draw to be made on the eve of the tournament proper.

Tour news

In the world of golf…

History made! A new record was set this past week by Philippine Professional, Miguel Tabuena. Starting from the 10th tee in the ISPS Handa World Super Six in Perth, Tabuena kicked off his tournament with seven straight birdies. Sadly this form didn’t continue and the new record holder missed the cut to reach the match play stage.

The PGA Tour saw Kentuckian J.B. Holmes pick up his first PGA Tour victory in four years at the Genesis Open. A moment of nostalgia for you, do you remember when he and Boo Weekley successfully partnered in the 2008 Ryder Cup at Valhalla?
