Summer Stock

Well, it seems the golfing season is now very much underway! The sun is out and the temperatures are getting warmer. Tuesday Night Stableford's are under way and we had a fantastic turn out for the first meeting.

As you can imagine, the golf manufacturers seem to have thought the same thing! It seems to have been drop after drop of new golfing goods for the season ahead. We now have in the shop:

Grip Check

Now the summer playing season has arrived, your golfing activity will hopefully be on the increase! With this in mind, before you next play, just have a check on your golfing equipment. In particular your grips. Just something as simple as new grips will have a profound affect on your golfing game.

Are you currently gripping the golf club tighter than usual to avoid it slipping out of your hands? Can you see cracks in the grip from where it has dried out or ware marks where the thumbs lie? All of these common symptoms as gear towards new grips. If you are looking for greater control with your irons and more distance off the tee, I can guarantee new grips will certainly help achieve this.

If you are gripping the golf club tighter than usual, you are reducing the leverage your wrists can create meaning you will lose distance and feeling of your golf shots. If you would like us to check the state of your grips, please bring them in the shop and we can have a look at them. Even better, drop them in after you play and if we have not got them done whilst you have your drink, we will have them ready for when you next play.
